About Lake Como NJ
Lake Como is a borough in Monmouth County NJ. As of a 2019 census its population is approximately 1,740 people. Lake Como was originally formed as the borough of South Belmar in 1924 by an act of the New Jersey Legislature. In 2004 voters approved changing its name to Lake Como, which became official in January, 2005. It is presumably named after Lake Como in Italy. Lake Como is bordered by the Monmouth County towns of Belmar, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Heights and Wall Township.
